The Calls Ledger is this house putting its read in writing before the hammer falls. For each flagship lot in a major sale, we publish our call ahead of the auction: the venue’s estimate against our tracked market for that reference, called below, within, or above — with a one-line reason.
The rules
- Calls are timestamped and never edited after publication. A correction appends; nothing is quietly rewritten.
- Scoring uses only the realized price the venue itself states. No price, no score.
- A lot that is withdrawn, vanishes, or records no result scores exactly that: no result recorded. A disappearance is never a sale.
- Misses print at the same size as hits. The running tally is carried in every Saturday report.
First edition — Geneva, November 7–9, 2026
The ledger opens with the Geneva weekend: the season’s flagship vintage Speedmaster and Rolex professional lots, called in the Saturday, November 7 report and scored in the Saturday, November 14 report. Until then the board is empty — deliberately. A ledger that starts by back-filling its wins is not a ledger.
